Agile and PMI-ACP® Certification

COURSE OVERVIEW:

In this training course, participants will be trained to become an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®) and be able to align their Agile development experiences to their specific careers and organizations.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

In this intensive Agile and PMI-ACP® Certification training course, participants will learn how to:

  • Prepare to pass the PMI-ACP® examination while completing the required contact hours/PDUs
  • Learn to maneuver the tools, techniques, knowledge, and skills exam scope
  • Coordinate participant’s Agile experience with the six domains of practice
  • Re-evaluate essential topics in the Agile and PMI-ACP® suggested reference materials
  • Build a strategic plan for self-study between the course and participant’s exam schedule

  1. Introduction to the PMI-ACP® Exam
    • Understanding the essential Agile developments and definitions
    • Make use of the values and principles of the Agile Manifesto
    • Mapping techniques, knowledge, skills and tools to the six domains of Agile development

    • Define and prioritize key highlights in terms of user and executives value

    • Determining least marketable highlights for release planning
    • Honing the requirements definition by being by agreeing on the Definition of Done

    • Sustaining visibility with burndown charts, value stream mapping and Kanban boards
    • Sustaining highlights and technical concerns with Backlog
  6. Managing Continuous Improvements
    • Accommodating the process
    • Using retrospectives to enhance the team’s behavior
    • Experimenting with new strategies and process ideas
    • Assessing work efficiency
    • Eliminating nonvalue-adding processes
    • Reducing Work in Progress (WIP)
  7. Preparing to Pass the Exam
    • Determining your unique exam preparation technique
    • Gaining knowledge into the exam format and process
    • Using proven tips for exam success
    • Maximizing your study time and focus
