Quality Auditor

PREREQUISITE:

The participant is expected to have the following prior to attending this course training:

  • Knowledge of the several quality management principles and concepts such as:
    • Relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction
    • Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle
    • Quality Management terms and definitions
    • 8 Quality principles as given in ISO 9000
    • Quality Management development approach
    • Model of a Process Based Quality Management System
    • Structure and principles of ISO 9001
  • It is an advantage if the participant has a previous management system auditing experience, such as internal or external auditing.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

A Certified Quality Auditor is a professional who understands the standards and principles of auditing and its related techniques of analyzing, questioning, assessing and reporting to effectively determine a quality system’s adequacies and deficiencies. He or she evaluates all key points of a quality system and decides its degree of cohesion to the standards of industrial management and quality assessment and control systems.

Quality Management Systems (QMS) Auditor or Lead Auditor Training Course (IRCA) is created for participants who require a thorough knowledge of the auditing process from several methods and perspectives.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

  • Interpret the requirements of ISO 9001 in the context of an audit
  • Address training requirements for registration as a QMS Auditor or Lead Auditor with the IRCA
  • Interpret the purpose, constitution and interdependence of the ISO 9000 family of standards
  • Create, develop and execute an audit and report on the audit in a way that gives value to the organization
  • Define and understand the purpose of a quality management system to organizations
  • Interpret the eight principles of quality management

  • Audit reporting and monitoring
  • Techniques for supporting improvement

  • Be able to learn and understand the purpose of:
    • A QMS and its standards
    • Management system audits
    • Role and responsibilities of an auditor in planning, executing, reporting and monitoring a QMS audit in collaboration with ISO 19011 (and ISO 17021 if applicable)
  • Gain skills in planning, executing and reporting
