Six Sigma Black Belt

PREREQUISITE:
This course is offered with no prerequisites. Unlike other course training providers, MITS does not require candidates to take any prerequisite course, Green Belt or any other, before attending a Black Belt training. MITS’ Black Belt course includes all of the material that candidates would possibly learn from attending a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

COURSE OVERVIEW:
A Certified Six Sigma Black Belt professional is someone who can explain Six Sigma principles, including supporting systems and tools. As a Black Belt, he or she should execute team leadership, understand team dynamics and appoint team member’s roles and responsibilities. Black Belts are viewed as professionals who possess keen knowledge on all areas of the DMAIC model in relation with the Six Sigma principles. They acquire the fundamental knowledge of Lean enterprise concepts, are able to point out non-value added elements and activities and are able to apply specific tools on their processes.

To successfully complete and finish this course, participants must carefully review all of the lectures and complete all of the quiz modules. MITS offers every successful participant with a Certificate of Training Completion.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this training course is to develop an extensive set of skills that will enable participants to function effectively as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. After finishing the entire course training, participants will learn the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge, develop techniques for both quantitative and non-quantitative analysis, and earn the team leadership skills essential to obtain projects across the organization’s end goals. Other learning objectives would include the following:

  • Communicate through the Lean Six Sigma concepts
  • Develop critical thinking abilities in understanding your organization as a collection of processes, with inputs that maximizes outputs
  • Understand Lean Six Sigma principles to the organization’s overall mission and objectives
  • Analyze and use the five step DMAIC model as a foundation to organize process improvement activity
