UML IBM Rational Rose and RUP

PREREQUISITE:

Candidates must have attended the following course requirements so as to facilitate maximum learning absorption of the lectures presented in this course program:

  • Essentials of Visual Modeling with UML 2.0 (ILT) (RD201)
  • Principles of Modeling with UML 2.0 (WBT) (DEV110)
  • Mastering Object-Oriented Analysis and Design with UML 2.0 (RD601ZA)

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This training course helps participants (be it architects, development leads, and so on) to start modeling using UML with the IBM Rational Software Architect Standard Edition, IBM Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software, or IBM Rational Software Modeler tools.

With MITS’ quality program, participants will be able to gain a hands-on experience with Rational Software Architect as they are intensively introduced to the tool’s modeling features and integrations with other related tools. They will also learn and understand the proper usage and application of model templates, UML diagrams, and the RequisitePro and WebSphere Business Modeler integrations. This course is designed to be incorporated with other Rational learning resources on patterns and transformations, and topology and team modeling.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

In this coursework, participants will be able to:

  • Make use of UML to create and develop several types of models (Analysis, Design, and many more)
  • Design and develop UML structural, behavioral, and interaction schemes and diagrams
  • Make sure that solutions are linked to requirements (i.e. Traceability)
  • Manage, maintain and support traceability with RequisitePro
  • Manage, maintain and support traceability with WebSphere Business Modeler
